In Which Everyone Laughs at the Expense of Milton Patterson

Haha, oh Milton Patterson. What’s that you say? Who’s Milton Patterson? Milton Patterson is the only member of the Illinois House of Representatives who voted not to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich. And why did he vote this way? Because he thinks it’s not his job to impeach the governor of his state.

And here is the reason why we are all laughing at him.

SECTION 14. IMPEACHMENT
The House of Representatives has the sole power to conduct legislative investigations to determine the existence of cause for impeachment and, by the vote of a majority of the members elected, to impeach Executive and Judicial officers.
