The Lincoln-Who Debates?

By Eric on April 30, 2008

You know, in Fox & Friends’ defense, the names Douglas and Douglass look pretty similar on paper.

Yes, that was a portrait of black abolitionist writer Frederick Douglass up there next to Abe Lincoln. Stephen A. Douglas–the guy that Lincoln famously debated–was a politician and, needless to say in the 1850s, white. I’m sure Fox can just blame the mix up on whichever intern was stupid enough to be conned into looking for video clips of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. Of course, this begs the better question of where the heck are they getting their interns?

  1. I really liked you blog post! I searched all over to finally find something that made sense! Would you mind terribly if I place a link back from my site at whiterabbitcult.com?
