Roger Ailes Is Unhappy
Barack Obama doesn’t get sworn in until January, but FOX News is already reporting that he won’t be able to make good on his campaign promises.

I can’t wait for these propagandists to become completely irrelevant.
FOX Pushes Debunked Ashley Todd Story
Via Daily Kos, watch FOX spread Ashley Todd’s lie about being beat up by a black guy because she’s a Republican:
Yeah, who cares if the girl made the whole thing up? If it’s good news for John McCain, it gets 24 hours of coverage on FOX.
Journalistic Integrity
OMG TERRORIST FIST JAB!

Thanks, FOX News, for elevating our national discourse.
Lanny Davis Joins Faux News
I respect the vast majority of people who supported Hillary Clinton, but Clinton supporter Obama hater Lanny Davis is just too crazy to bear. His entire strategy for promoting Clinton’s candidacy was to launch pathetic attacks on Obama and try to delegitimize his candidacy. Now that Obama is the Democratic nominee, of course, Davis has done what anyone who wants a free microphone to use against Obama would do: he joined Fox News.
Fox News’s newest contributor, to be announced today, may surprise the liberal crowd: former Clinton White House lawyer Lanny Davis.
“Fox has always treated me with respect and given me a chance to express my point of view,” Davis says of the network that the Democratic candidates refused to grant a debate out of concern that it favors Republicans. He will be a frequent guest, along with such Fox stalwarts as Karl Rove and Newt Gingrich.
Er, actually, it doesn’t really surprise the liberal crowd. See, Faux News’ sole reason for existing at this point is to make sure that Barack Obama does not become President, whether by stacking their “fair and balanced” talking head panels with the likes of Karl Rove or even through outright racism. It’s just the place where someone like Davis would fit in.
Fox News on Obama’s Baby Mama
As if last week’s terrorist fist jab incident wasn’t bad enough, FOX News continues to show its true colors by labeling Michelle Obama as “Obama’s Baby Mama.”

No, this isn’t doctored–that’s exactly the chyron that the totally not racist folks over at Faux News put up over a clip of Michelle Obama. Not surprisingly, right wing crazy person blogger, FNC hack contributor, and woman of color Michelle Malkin (over there on the left) said nothing. Fortunately, my fellow “outraged liberals” were more than happy to do so:
Oliver Willis is still finding out new things about his own people (or “bitches and hos” as FOX would probably call them):
So here’s the thing (because during this campaign I’m apparently learning that we black people have our own secret code and hand signals so this stuff has to be explained like you are speaking to a child at times), using the phrase “baby mama” to describe this woman implies that like too many people in the black community, she is a mother on her own with no man around doing his job.
Except, Barack and Michelle Obama are the exact opposite of this, and that is one of the reason America - especially black America - are so proud of them.
But Fox News is the network that tears down those who do not toe the line, and if that means they should resort to jive to describe a black woman as a “baby mama” despite the strength of her family and her own personal success, so be it.
Pam Spaulding is a little more blunt:
It’s high time that Fox News just stop with the pussyfooting around with these games and run the more direct ”nigger” on any Chyron running over video of the Obamas.
I’ve got an idea. How about on the next episode of The O’Reilly Factor, why not have Bill do a little PSA on behalf of the network?

Pretty soon, FOX is going to have to change its slogan from “fair and balanced” to “separate but equal.”
Update: Apparently someone over at FOX “exercised poor judgement.” Um, yeah.
John McCain (D-AZ)
In case being booed by ultra-rightwing conservatives at CPAC wasn’t enough evidence that John McCain isn’t conservative enough for conservatives, McCain has now lost the incredibly valuable FOX News demographic:

Then again, this is the same “news” network that labeled long-time GOP Senator Arlen Spector and Former Republican sexual predator and Congressman as Democrats

I guess at this point it’s to be expected that if FOX News doesn’t like a Republican, they’ll just call him a Democrat. And then, of course, they’ll remind us that the Democrats want us to “lose” in Iraq.
