A large part of the reason that I decided to make an online photo gallery is that I’m taking a Digital Photography class at school. This first gallery contains the images that I turned in for my first project in that class.
This first project was a very technical getting-to-know-your-camera* project. We had to turn in thirteen images, each of which demonstrated one of the following techniques:
- Shallow depth-of-field
- Medium depth-of-field
- Great depth-of-field
- Showing motion
- Showing stop-motion
- Panning
- Indoor lighting
- Outdoor lighting
- Low lighting
- Mixed lighting
- Bird’s eye view
- Ant’s eye view
- Abstract an everyday object.
Without further ado, here are the images I selected for that project. Clicking any thumbnail will launch the image viewer (in this window), where you can use the “previous” and “next” buttons to navigate through the gallery. You can leave comments on the gallery by filling out the form in the grey box at the bottom of this page.

*For those who are curious, “my” camera is a borrowed Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. As you can probably tell from the picture and description, I have nice friends.
Nobody has said anything yet. Why don't you?
