- House Democrats don’t think they can convince Americans to support… cutting the deficit by making rich people pay more taxes. What are House Democrats even for, anyway? (The Hill)
- Mocking Sarah Palin’s crib notes is a terrible affront to the Baby Trig because Palin is just not subject to the same rules as other politicians, also too. (ThinkProgress)
- Oh, and speaking of which, Sarah Palin simply cannot stop lying about things to serve her political interests. Palin 2012! (The Plum Line)
- FOX News uses fraudulent polls, according to Bill O’Reilly and Karl Rove. FOX = ACORN?!?!?! (Daily Kos)
- Terrible batterer Scott Cohen will drop out of the Illinois Lieutenant Governor race to be replaced by… well, pretty much anyone. (WGN-TV)

Quote of the Day
We can’t kill all the Muslims. So we want to win the hearts and minds of as many good, moderate Muslims as we can.
– Bill O’Reilly, on the aftermath of the Fort Hood shootings.
Free Speech Only Applies to Right-Wingers (Because They Put Those Yellow Ribbon Magnets on Their Cars)

- Teabaggers are now threatening violence against the SEIU and other pro-healthcare reform groups for daring to show up at town halls. Let freedom ring! (The Plum Line)

Quote of the Day
I want to see Mr. Peters and Mr. O’Reilly fired immediately for their inexcusable attacks on a prisoner of war. Their comments aid and abet our enemies during a time of war and the burden is on Fox News to prove that they reject this by taking the tangible action of issuing an apology and firing both of them.
– Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY), responding to FOX News pundit Ralph Peters’ suggestion that the Taliban should kill captured Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, which he repeated on O’Reilly’s show.
All the News That’s Fit to Steal

- The British House of Commons and the Met are investigating News of the World, which is owned by FOX News chief Rupert Murdoch, for hacking MPs mobile phones. This is the British equivalent of Bill O’Reilly sending someone to harass people while they’re walking down the street. (Guardian/New Yorker)
- CIA Director Leon Panetta told Congress last month that some senior CIA officials had straight-up lied to Congress. Since lying is basically what the CIA does professionally, shouldn’t these officials get promoted, for job excellence? (MSNBC)
- Here is a new criticism of Sonia Sotomayor: she is too detailed. Apparently it is better for the justice system if judges just breeze through shit, so they can get back to working on their golf game. (Washington Post)
- The Mexican Army is accused of using torture in the War on Drugs. Um, maybe they did it because the cool kids (America) were doing it? (UPI)
- The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is suing the federal government over the Defense of Marriage Act, which they claim in unconstitutional. When will John Ensign and Mark Sanford step in to defend traditional marriage? (Boston Globe)
